Our Final project: Editing our video we did in class on Dec. 7 Rules of the game
- You can edit the existing content of the video/ cut it/crop it/re-arrange it/etc... feel free to transform it!
- You can add content of your own to the video Music/images/video... think about copyright issues You have two options: your own content or somebody else's content... when using somebody else's content, think twice about it... you have the right to "Fair use" for creative content ( non commercial ) A good idea is to mention the creator... to recognize it in the text/description attached to your video on YouTube. For well known Music that will be blocked from YouTube, a good idea is to use only a few seconds of a song instead of all of it! Contact me on Skype if you are not sure on how to proceed...
- Keep enough of the original content so that your expression/creativity is or looks directly related to the original story... In other words don't change it completely so that we can't recognize the original content anymore.
- You have to upload the video to YouTube to share it. Remember that you are limited to 10 min. the video being already almost 10 min. you might have to "cut" some content to add some content. Using fast motion will give you some extra time for example and create an interesting effect.... Using slow motion would also, but it will add some precious time!
- Post your video on YouTube before Monday night December 13. and email me the link or post it on Edmodo or Twitter.

The internet gives us now the possibility to express ourselves VISUALLY ( which was not possible before but only for professionals and with expensive equipment) With the new technology anyone can now do it ... I am asking you to make the effort to use this new possibility ( I am making the same effort myself for some time and I know it's not easy even for me being a visual person) So another challenge: instead of only writing on your "group project" page do also this: Record a video to say what you are planning to do ... post it the same way... unlisted on Youtube and then post it on your wiki page

Start working on it right away planning is essential and it's a group effort so share with everyone what you are doing. Communicate on the wiki but also on edmodo or Twitter to say what your planning to do That will help me to see what we are forgetting of importance to cover about the Art Department.
Remember you are choosing what you want to cover so that you feel good about doing it but it's also good to challenge yourself ... so if you've never interviewed someone, it's your opportunity to do it for this project... practice is the best learning experience.
Philippe, I dont have my computer today so I am unable to contact you on skype or post a video. My screen went black yesterday and then started to flicker....I talked to my father's computer guy and he said it is probably the graphics card in the main board and would cost around $200-300 to fix which isnt worth the money because my computer is 5 years old. So I am using my mother's computer. I am working tonight so tomorrow I will try to hook up my webcam and download skype again and see if I am able to use it on hers...also I spoke with my manager and I am unable to make it to the thursday class. I switched back to my normal schedule thinking that we weren't meeting in class anymore. So I guess I will talk to you tomorrow. Could you let me know what I can be working on on my Jimdo page?
